Cape Cod Beer is in search of a Full-Time Retail/Tap Room person to work at Cape Cod Beer.  This is a year-round position, and after training the employee will be a keyholder and integral part of our customer experience team.

We’re looking for someone to become one of our hands on go-to retail associates. This means you maintain the look and feel of our “customer experience” space – part store, part warehouse, part tap room, part beer garden – where you serve customers, replenish stock, clean, refill growlers and more. You report directly to the Retail Manager, and some shifts, once you are fully trained, the rest of the team reports to you!

The right person takes great pride in providing an incredible customer experience to everyone who walks through our door – tourists and locals alike. This includes answering lots of questions about how beer is made and working up to being able to run our weekly guided tour!

Must be hard working, dependable, reliable, outgoing and have a good sense of humor. Knowledge of craft beer essential. Desire to learn more required. This job requires weekend and evening shifts as scheduled. Flexible availability required. Shrinking violets need not apply! Previous retail experience and amazing customer service are vital.

This position pays $15 an hour (plus tips! Most full time retail associates average $25 per hour with tips included) and includes Paid Time Off and Full Benefits (Health, Dental, IRA with match) available after 90 days. *Tips are pooled per shift among taproom staff. Beer perks start day one!

Requirements:

• Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and after hour brewery events as scheduled.
• Must be able to work on your feet (standing/walking) 95% of your shift.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must have a good personality, be great with customers, have the ability to go with the flow and not be afraid of hard work.
• Ability to lead guided tours after training.
• Must be able to possess the responsibility of a key holder and MOD (Manager of the Day) as scheduled, after training.
• TIPS certification, CICERONE training, and ability to work a crowd a plus, otherwise certification will be part of your training.

We have fun here at Cape Cod Beer, but working in a brewery, especially in the summer, will certainly not be the easiest job you’ve ever had.  Please consider this before applying.
