As a Direct Support Professional at Community Connections, you can make

Responsibilities:
  • Lift, move, or position non-ambulatory/ambulatory individuals
  • Teach skill development and community integration
  • Intervene verbally and physically with consumers during behavior incidents
  • Assist individuals with ADL’s such as toileting, hygiene and dietary constraints
  • Participate in the development of Day Habilitation Service Plan & ISP (as applicable)
  • Work as a member of a team assisting individuals to establish functional independence in specific skill areas
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous human services, behavioral or medical experience strongly preferred 
  • Valid driver’s license and 3 years of satisfactory driving experience
  • Respectful and compassionate
  • Attentive to the changing needs of consumers
