Job Description
Latham Centers, Inc., a private, not-for-profit human services agency, is currently seeking families, couples or individuals, who are willing to open their hearts and home to a person with developmental disabilities –providing the special needs individual with meals, a private bedroom, transportation to medical appointments, and social and recreational events in the community. Shared Living Providers offer companionship, guidance, and support and can make a difference helping the individual to reach his or her goals of greater independence and engagement in the community.

In accordance with Massachusetts’ regulations, Shared Living Providers receive a generous stipend ranging from 20-60k / year, depending on the level of support needed. Latham Centers provides administrative and clinical support, as well as 24/7 on-call assistance.

A Shared Living Provider needs to have a clean driving record, a reliable vehicle, and a home with a spare bedroom that can be utilized by the special needs person supported. Experience in the area of human services, special education or the medical field is preferred, but not necessary.

The Shared Living Provider and everyone in his or her household must be or become first aid/cpr certified, pass a CORI background check and fingerprinting.
