REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing and Public Relations
SUPERVISES: N/A
STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Digital Media Manager performs a range of activities that support the development and strengthening of Heritage Museums & Gardens’ interactive, digital media presence with consumers—including, but not limited to, the website, social media outlets, e-newsletter communications and campaigns, online brand recognition, electronic press kits, photography/videography, and emerging technologies.

This position can be scheduled to be located on-site and/or partially remote.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead all customer-facing digital channels (website, social media, etc.); design, build, maintain, monitor, and strengthen Heritage’s presence on a daily basis.
  • Measure the effectiveness of all digital marketing campaigns; set annual benchmarks and goals to increase audience engagement and brand presence with consumers; compile recommendations and outreach in monthly reports.
  • Assure Heritage has an Internet presence on high-visibility sites (travel, museums, Cape Cod, etc.); update content and photography as needed. Monitor online reviews; report on instances where intervention is required.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on emerging technologies that will enhance outreach and audience engagement.
  • Work closely with the Director of Marketing to develop and execute a plan for digital reach.
  • Organize and manage Heritage’s image files (both photography and videography); take photography/videography as needed.
  • Work closely with Manager of Public Programs on program/event descriptions, ticketing, and logistics.
  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners as needed.
  • Supervise intern(s) as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A. or B.S. degree preferred, plus 3 years of progressively responsible digital marketing experience.
  • Expertise working with commercial websites – specifically WordPress; at ease using technology and learning new platforms.
  • Expertise working with social media including Facebook and Instagram.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Graphic design skills.
  • Superior project management skills and task prioritization to meet all deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented team player, with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Superior computer skills, including WordPress, Constant Contact, Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience with Altru preferred but not required.
