Patient Access Representative for Optometry

The Patient Access Representative will be the primary contact for our Vision Services Department. Duties will include insurance verification, scheduling, check-in and check-out and overall care coordination.
Additional responsibilities:

  • Triaging phone calls for clinicians, picking up and accurately dispersing messages through the OCHIN/EPIC system
  • Coordinating with primary care teams for referrals and documentation.
  • Reviewing new patient packets and providing initial orientation to Vision Services
  • Room patients as needed to support clinical team
  • Assist with ordering and pick up of glasses
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years + experience in medical office support role with Optometry experience strongly preferred. Strong organizational skills are required, with ability to juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work a 10- 6 schedule as we expand hours of operation.
