As the Construction Operations Manager, you provide oversight to multiple heavy civil construction projects and facilitate major construction projects that exceed the expectations of all parties involved. You are responsible for overseeing all of Lawrence-Lynch Corp.’s major projects as well as project management teams. You work hand-in-hand with the project team and the President to ensure overall understanding of project strategy based on the needs of the job. Representing Lawrence Lynch Corp, you embody a strong customer focused attitude and display the upmost professionalism in all of your interactions. Your responsibilities range from project coordination and supervision to strategic planning and technical expertise. You begin and end each day with a feeling of confidence that your decisions were based on the best interest of the LLC team members and our customers.
You serve as the liaison between the project teams and the President to deliver effective and efficient flow of communication, while ensuring that project work is completed effectively, on-time, and to the quality of workmanship specified. You complete daily site visits to a large variety of diverse projects, keeping you sharp and inspired due to ever-evolving demands. You know that no two days will ever be the same. You have the support of a team to meet objectives and put plans in action. You are able to proactively anticipate obstacles, and have been given the freedom to source solutions to challenges that arise. You attend weekly/biweekly project meetings to ensure project managers are satisfied with the current level of progress, coordination of resources, and that the team is aligned for project success. You hold safety in the highest regard and work with safety units to assist in the planning and managing safety programs for each project. You are responsible for examining project documents to become familiar with all details and requirements- and you use that knowledge to provide guidance on bids, cost estimates, schedule, and operations.
Using your technical expertise, you provide strategic input regarding project planning and efficiency of construction procedures according to organizational objectives and improvements. You promote profitability through reviewing project related financials, keep LLC’s prices at a competitive rate, and ensure mutual satisfaction between our company and our customers. With your critically important & visible executive position, you protect and promote Lawrence-Lynch Corp’s interests in all matters. Your history of being an experienced and poised manager has brought you to this position, where you show up to work every day with the certainty that you are representing a company that does whatever it takes to promote goodwill with clients and develop future repeat business. You work hard to build and cultivate relationships with new clients to support development, maintenance, and enhancement of LLC’s professional relationships.   • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering or a related field plus eight (8) years of construction management experience and/or craft supervision in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven leadership and management skills and ability to delegate work.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Prior work experience that includes in-depth knowledge of civil engineering infrastructure projects, including concrete, water, sewer, grading, drainage, and/or other utilities is required.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract is required.
  • Ability to successfully pass a CORI background check or obtain security clearance is required for certain projects.
  • Have or be able to obtain OSHA 10 certification and First aid/CPR certification.
In addition to the above qualifications, prior heavy civil construction experience with MassDOT projects and five (5) years of previous supervisory experience is strongly preferred are strongly preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. A master’s degree in any management or engineering field, PMP certification and/or Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus. OSHA 30, competent person, excavation, trenching, and/or fall protection certifications are also preferred but not necessarily required.
Qualified candidates will possess in-depth knowledge of heavy civil construction, including concrete, water, sewer, grading, drainage, and other utilities AND knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction of highways and roads, site work, or other related fields.

Our standard office hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 - 5:00 pm. During the construction season, the construction division is normally on air by 6:00 am and finished by 5:30 pm (based on projects assigned and time of year--peak periods are spring and fall).
