Job Description

The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod is seeking a licensed investment assistant with a background in retail banking to fulfill a unique role. The Retail Sales and Investment Services Coordinator will manage the daily operations of The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod Retirement Branches while providing valuable administrative support to Cape Cod Financial Services Team.

Cape Cod Financial Services Client Support  

  • Coordinates and supports all activities related to client services and coordination of business development activities as well as a contribution to sales if appropriately licensed.
  • Create client proposals and gather information at direction of Investment Executive in preparation for client/prospect meeting. Contact client to set up follow up meetings with Investment Executive.
  • Organizes client events, public education seminars, and periodic meetings as needed. Coordinates and maintains Investment Executives calendars for such routine and impromptu events.
  • Participates in various activities of the sales cycle.
  • Maintains client database, tracks mailings to clients and prospects under direction of Investment Executives.
  • Manages incoming service requests from clients and Investment Executives, and answers phone inquiries such as providing current status and account values for non-securities related accounts.
  • Communicates with Infinex as needed to supply or attain policy information.
  • Processes all documentation, prepares sales proposals, prepares and distributes letters of instruction for client signature, policies for delivery, process annual reviews for clients and compiles internal information for client/prospect meetings.
  • Manages strategic outreach efforts with clients, prospects and centers of influence for appointments and referrals to generate interest in Cape Cod Financial Services products and services.

Retirement Branch Support 

  • Provides a wide variety of customer services, including retail transactions, opening accounts and exploring customer needs, as well as suggesting products and services that will best meet them.
  • May assist the Branch ordering vault cash, counting and bagging loose coin, balancing vault. Understands and honors dual control requirements for cash, vaults and ATMs. May open and close branch office.
  • Cross-sells the Bank’s products and services by tailoring recommendations after exploring customer financial necessities and goals through needs-based conversations.
  • Maintains a quality knowledge of current products, fees, and policies and is able to provide customer education.
  • Responds to customer inquiries with a positive attitude and refers problems or concerns to appropriate person for further action as needed. Follows-up to be sure the problem has been addressed.
  • Actively participates in the Bank’s customer-needs based sales programs.
  • Assists customers with technology inquiries regarding mobile and online banking applications.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Series 6 and 63 preferred or ability to attain
  • 3-5 years of experience in administrative support role and/or retail banking field
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality; with tact and diplomacy
