Cotuit Center for the Arts
Job Description
Cotuit Center for the Arts is home to theater, art, music, film, special events, and education. We seek a Bartender who shares our commitment to provide an “excellent patron experience” to all who attend our events.
Our bar is located in our gallery/lobby. Guests attending plays, concerts, gallery openings and special events mingle in this area before the theater doors are opened. We offer a limited but varied menu. All snacks are pre-packaged.
Most events are evenings; matinees are also available. Theatrical and concert performance shifts are usually 5:30-9:30. In most cases, bartenders may leave after intermission. As a bartender, you can expect to be busy before the show, and to have to hustle during the 15-minute intermission to take care of all the guests. Special event shifts may be longer. Over the course of a year, there can be 150-175 shifts, shared by several bartenders.
