Job Description

The Office Manager/Bookkeeper will ensure the cleanliness and functionality of the office as well as maintain the financial records for the company which will have a portfolio of 200+ homes in the summer of 2021.  The right applicant will have excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills, as well as a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.  This individual will work within Quickbooks and multiple other programs that currently support the accounting function, and will report to the Company’s Senior Bookkeeper.  The responsibilities outlined are subject to change or alteration depending on what we may need.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the office is clean and safe, and office equipment and appliances are in good working order

  • Identifying and directing work needed around the office and surrounding property in order to maintain a clean, professional and well kept work space

  • Monitoring office inventory and ordering new office supplies, furniture, electronics, and other items as required

  • Organizing office operations and procedures

  • Assisting in onboarding tasks

  • Filing system upkeep 

  • Utilizing Quickbooks Online

  • Learning and utilizing a variety of technological platforms to track and compute financial information  (Streamline, ReceiptBank, Check Run, Homebase, ResolveiT)

  • Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll

  • Assistance with month and year end closing activities

Desired skills/traits/competencies

  • Confidentiality

  • Organized and capable of prioritizing and multitasking

  • Highly detail oriented

  • Must be experienced in Quickbooks

  • Accounting education a plus

  • Excellent oral/written communication skills

  • Able to deliver timely results, prioritizing tasks while operating and performing with a sense of urgency

  • Able to perform effectively in a high paced, dynamic environment

Job Details

  • Full time/Year-round

  • June-Sept, weekend work required

  • Entry Level Position (2-5 years of experience necessary)

  • $40,000 - $45,000/year or commensurate with experience

  • Health Insurance

  • 401K with Employer Matching - the Company matches 100% of all employee 401(k) contributions, up to 3% of their compensation, plus a 50% match of the next 2% of their compensation

  • 2 Weeks Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays
