Bookkeeper/Accounting Specialist
 
Key Requirements:         
·       Using documents to verify, record, and process transactions.
·       Maintaining accurate and complete records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, and information
·       Assisting the accounting department in daily, monthly, and annual activities, including generating financial reports, developing budgets,
·       Communicating with clients to discuss account statuses, charges, or discrepancies.
·       Maintain accounting files
·       Assist with financial statement preparation and variance analysis
·       Ad hoc projects assigned by management
·       Supervise accurate and timely invoicing of consulting service, and software contracts, with the ability to meet strict close deadlines set forth by upper Management.
·       Manage all facets of the Accounts Receivable and collection process across the Billing team, and provide regular reporting to Executes as requested. 
·       Work directly with the VP of Consulting Services, on specials projects and ad hoc requests, including but not limited to account reconciliation, customer disputes, escalation, and resolution, SOW burn reporting, and Billing/Accounts Receivable forecasting.
·       Develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures to support compliance with audits and internal controls.
·       Maintain and drive enhancements, and process improvements driving continued digital transformation of accounting processes.
·       Position based out of our Harwich, MA office reporting directly to the Corporate Controller and VP of Consulting Services
 
Qualifications, Experience and Abilities·         
·       Must have expert level knowledge of expert knowledge of AR, AP, and Billing.
·       Requires 3+ years of prior experience in receivables, accounting or similar position.
·       Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other business-related programs preferred.
·       Proven record of driving improvement activity
·       Must be a self-driven problem solver, with the ability to work independently
·       Strong organizational, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills are a must.
·       Ability to work well with cross-functional teams to achieve company objectives.
·       Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar accounting software experience is required.
·       Must be expert in Quickbooks, MS Excel and other Office programs.
·       Able to multi-task, prioritize, work under pressure and meet deadlines
·       Ability to communicate complex data clearly
·       Excellent data entry skills
