All riders will start and finish at the Aptucxet Trading Post Museum in Bourne and have the option of riding a 40-mile scenic route to Woods Hole and back, a 20-mile route from the Aptuxcet Trading Post Museum along the Cape Cod Canal and around Mashnee Island, or a 12-mile route along the Cape Cod Canal. Check-in begins at 7:00 AM, with the ride beginning at 8:00 AM for the 40-mile and 20-mile routes, and the 12-mile route starts at 10:00 AM. Following the Ride, stay for a complimentary BBQ with beverages, an Ice Cream Truck, games, music, and prizes for all on the Spinning Wheel. Riders who raise over $500 by September 12th will be entered to win a Yeti Tundra cooler.
Ron Winner, co-chair for the Annual Ride for Homes event, states, “I ride for Habitat because, as a community, Cape Cod desperately needs to keep our young, working families here, and we can’t do that without affordable homes for them to build their life and remain a vital part of the fabric of Cape Cod.” In 2022, 89 riders raised over $82,000 to help the organization bridge that funding gap. Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod’s work depends on the generosity of the Cape Cod community.
