Description
FREE FUN FRIDAY!
A family friendly festival
At Cape Cod Museum of Art
August 3, 2018 from 10 am – 3 pm
On August 3, the garden, grounds and galleries of the museum will be free and open to the playful public. Kite flying, portrait painting, kindness rock painting, puppet playing and all the exhibits in the museum are just a few of the activities to enjoy.
Some of the featured activities are:
Kite-flying: The ever- popular Archie Stewart will help kids build and fly their own kites right in front of the museum.
Portrait painting: Artist Sarah Holl will be drawing pastel portraits of kids to take home as a special work of art.
Kindness Rock Painting: Megan Murphy created the Kindness Rocks Project, leaving rocks in random spots with uplifting messages that could make someone’s day. She will lead kids in painting their very own words on rocks to create their own acts of kindness from 1 – 3pm. Kindness Rocks from around the country will be on view in the CCMoA Garden on Aug 1 & Aug 2.
Mary Wilson’s Pitter Patter Puppets will be putting on a play at 11:30 am!
This free day for the family follows a long tradition at the Cape Cod Museum of Art and is now among the 100 institutions across Massachusetts participating in this year’s Free Fun Friday initiative thanks to the Highland Street Foundation. www.highlandstreet.org
