Description
Join APCC for a beautifully filmed documentary about the gardens of Piet Oudolf. A Dutch nurseryman, author and perhaps the most influential garden designer of our time, Piet Oudolf has radically redefined what gardens can be. One example of Piet’s work is the High Line in NYC. “For me, garden design isn’t just about plants, it is about emotion, atmosphere, a sense of contemplation. You try to move people with what you do. You look at this, and it goes deeper than what you see. It reminds you of something in the genes — nature, or the longing for nature.” ~ Piet Oudolf Through poetic and masterful cinematography, filmmaker Thomas Piper reveals all that Piet sees, and celebrates the nature of plants in landscape design. Doors open at 6pm. Cash bar. A short discussion will be held following the film. Proceeds support APCC.
