Description
Make good on those new years resolutions to become more involved with your community at Engage Falmouth's 3rd annual volunteer fair!
With the theme of “cross-pollination,” this year’s event aims to foster deeper conversation between organizations and members of the community. Over a snack and hot beverage, attendees will learn about Cape-based opportunities to work on environmental issues, women and LGBTQ rights, immigrant and racial justice, and caring for children, the elderly, and homeless members of the community.
This year’s fair has a special emphasis on organizations that work with youth, and each participating organization will have suggestions for school-age residents to get involved.
There will also be on-site opportunities for residents of all ages to support state legislation, become more environmentally responsible, and a donation box for non-perishables and toiletry items for the Falmouth Service Center.
Participating organizations include:
- Action Together Network (Southeastern Massachusetts chapter)
- Animal Rescue League of Cape Cod
- Belonging to Each Other
