Description
CCYP’s Connect Events are going digital! Introducing our new VIRTUAL Connect + Chat Series! FREE to all.
Grab a cup of coffee or tea and join us for a mid-morning chat on coronavirus relief options for small businesses and nonprofits! We'll be chatting with Lisa Oliver and Peter Rice of The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod, Jeannine Marshall of Coastal Community Capital, and Matt Cronin of Boardwalk Business Group, each of whom will be providing updates from their respective fields on how these relief programs are impacting our community, best practices and challenges they've encountered to date, and how to determine if your business or nonprofit qualifies for funding. Get your questions answered by local experts in banking, community development, and accounting, and connect with others on their experiences with these programs so far. Special thanks to our Presenting Sponsor for the Virtual Connect + Chat Series, The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod!
On Friday, April 3, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act was signed into law, approving $350 billion in funding for a new Paycheck Protection Program designed to retain employees of small businesses and 501(c)3 nonprofits during the COVID-19 pandemic. While this program is perhaps one of the most well-known relief options offered for small businesses and nonprofits to date, many other funding and relief programs have been introduced by the Federal Government, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and even individual communities to alleviate strain on small businesses and nonprofits. How do the various relief options differ? How do you determine whether your business or nonprofit qualifies? Will there be enough funding to go around? We'll address these questions, as well as any others you may have - feel free to send questions in advance to info@capecodyoungprofessionals.org.
