TOPIC: Brave Communications: Present Yourself & Your Idea with Ease & Influence
Some people get nervous speaking in public or have a hard time communicating ideas in a concise way. Some avoid saying anything at all. As a result they miss out on opportunities, get passed over for promotions, and risk becoming a best kept secret. Using thought-provoking questions, personal stories, and practical strategies, Stacey will challenge and teach you to become a brave communicator. Learn & practice how to present yourself and your ideas in a way that connects with and influences others. Even if your hands shake and your heart races, you can become a brave communicator. Join us to find out how.
GUEST SPEAKER: Stacey Shipman, Founder, Brave Communicator
Stacey Shipman is a speaker, author and Brave Communication Expert. Yet she hasn’t always been a brave communicator. Stacey won the Quietest Girl Award in sixth grade and knows what its like to miss out on opportunities & become a bet kept secret. Tired of watching everyone else get ahead, she made a brave commitment to improve her communication skills. She has since turned her biggest obstacle into an opportunity. Stacey started her business, Brave Communicator, to support nervous & novice speakers, leaders, & entrepreneurs who want to communicate their stories and ideas more effectively. Stacey is the author of Turn Speaking Stress into Success: A Pocket Guide for Nervous & Novice Presenters and an active member of Toastmasters International. More than anything Stacey wants people to know that their stories and ideas matter and can make a positive difference.
