Description
Join the CCYP at Mass Audubon Cape Cod for a fun morning exploring the aquarium at Wellfleet Bay!
Water and wildlife draw many of us to Cape Cod. In Mass Audubon Cape Cod's "Something Fishy" program, meet some of the fish and captivating sea creatures that make Cape Cod Bay their home! During this event the aquarist will take you on a tour of the aquarium tanks and introduce you to the fish and sea creatures, sharing his extensive knowledge about the various species, biology, behavior, and niche in the marine ecosystem, and take you “behind the scenes” to see the life support system that makes the Live Animal Encounter possible. Be an “aquarist for the day,” and learn about the wet lab and help care for the fish. Season and tide permitting, join Zach to collect live species in nearby waters and introduce them into the tank. Please note that the behind the scenes aspects may change depending on group size. The suggested age for this program is 3-8 years old.
Attendees are welcome to explore the Wellfleet Bay sanctuary after the event.
