Solving the Cape's housing crisis is achievable - with a comprehensive strategy. Join us to hear from businesses, workers and a nationally respected economist, and we'll unveil a vision and movement to solve the Cape's housing crisis at the official launch of Housing to Protect Cape Cod (HPCC).
ABOUT HOUSING TO PROTECT CAPE COD
Housing Assistance Corporation, Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce, Cape Cod & Islands Association of REALTORS, Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Cape Cod and CapeBuilt came together to ensure individuals and businesses have the information they need to advocate for housing in their communities.
The Housing to Protect Cape Cod Coalition is a community organizing initiative that mobilizes residents in support of a local legislative platform to foster year-round housing while protecting our critical environmental resources and community character
WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE SUMMIT
KEYNOTE SPEAKER
We'll release our commissioned report on the intersection of the Cape's economy and housing strategy: where we are, where we're headed if we stay with the same approach, and where we could go by banding together now for change.
Nationally respected economist, Tim Cornell of The Concord Group, will reveal alarming new data about recent displacement of locals, economic trends and projections factoring in this displacement, and where we should be focusing our efforts as a community.
LOCAL PANEL DISCUSSION
Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce CEO, Paul Niedzwiecki, will host a panel discussion with local business owners supporting Housing to Protect Cape Cod.
THE SOLUTION: THE HOUSING TO PROTECT CAPE COD VISION
We'll unveil the Housing to Protect Cape Cod vision for solving the Cape's housing crisis and how you can get involved to help solve the housing crisis.
ADVOCACY TRAINING (OPTIONAL)
New to Advocacy? We're here to help! Housing Assistance Corporation Chief External Affairs Officer, Stefanie Coxe, will run an Advocacy 101 training to teach you how to make your voice heard and feel comfortable civically engaging in your town.
